works a treat. i have kept it formatted to fat32 which is what it comes as as sometimes i have to use it on friends pc's which are windows. first time i plugged it in, it came up with read write permissions. i'm thinking of getting the 2tb drive at some point

I have a 500gb edition. We immediately formated into NTFS, although I wanted it in ext2 (the windows IFS driver only works with ext2 anyway). We have tons of files larger than 4 gbs, so we need the FS.
So far no problems.
