Thumbs up

Hi,

I've always had this problem in openSUSE 10.3 but the longer I have it the more annoying it becomes. I had Suse 10.2 installed on my laptop before and all multimedia buttons were working (volume up/down, mute, forward, backward etc.). When I installed version 10.3, none of the buttons works anymore. I tried around 10 keyboard layouts (now it's set to Dell Inspiron). Does anyone know how I can fix that? Thank you.

If you are using KDE try Kmenu > Configure Desktop > Regional and Accessability > Keyboard Shortcuts you should be able to configure pretty much want you want from here. Otherwise if you are looking for things like volume control you can also configure these from within applications such as amarok.

superppl, thanks a lot, mate! it worked. downloaded the keytouch, selected a Dell Inspiron 6xxx keyboard and bingo! piece of cake... if you know what to do. Thanks again. Now my laptop with openSuse is just perfect, everything works!
