Hi everyone I'm running a suse 10.1 , just recently I bought a new screen and I'm having problem setting the corrcet driver , that is , if I could access Yast , my problem is that I can't see anything!!!
SOOOO I can see nothing cause my screen is unrecognised and I can't set the driver cause I can't see anything ........ I've tried the 'rescue system' option but somehow it does not accept my password ..... I have no driver available and I was hoping I could access the web inside linux or that it would be listed in Yast database , the display model is LG Flatron L1960TR , I'm using windows currently , I'm pretty sure I'm missing something cause it seems to me it should be quite easy to set ..... |

I'm assuming you're starting up in failsafe (text) mode. You can start the sax2 utility from the console. First type 'su' to become root user, then enter password when prompted. Now type 'sax2 -r' to try and redetect your graphics hardware, and configure xorg.conf as required.
