I have a DVD writer as my secondary master, and a CD writer as my secondary slave. The CD writer used to be secondary master before I bought the DVD writer.

I had manually setup /dev/dvd and /dev/dvdram to point to hdc, and /dev/cdrom and /dev/cdrecorder to point to hdd.

On a reboot, something (hal?) automatically changes /dev/cdrom and /dev/cdrecorder to point back to hdc.

Can anyone suggest how I can prevent this, so that /dev/cd* continue to point to hdd?

Thanks!
