Hello, I have a 4GB secondary hard drive on my Suse 10 server that I have scripts to backup files to this drive. Every once and a while, I will get an error while trying to write to it, something like "Read-only filesystem". I'll run reboot, it won't come back up, then I'll manually power-cycle it, and it will be fine.

Any ideas?

seems to me this drive is gonna die very soon, better get a new one. Also check power cables & co to make sure drive is really connected. A bad power connection can "unplug" the drive from the system
