Unhappy

<_< hi,

not new to linux really but fairly new to suse. (ran 8.0 for a few days)
during the install, i get up to the X configuration and unfortunately i dont know the parameters of my monitor so i have no clue what to set for my 19"
sun monitor. i have a geforce 256, 32mb videocard and whenever i try to test the x configuration it fails and tells me " X server failed open APM failed. /dev/apm_bios no such device.

ive searched in the forums here and google but cant seem to find what i need. any ideas? TIA

suse 9 btw

edit: sorry i screwed up, this should probably be in the software section but oh well. feel free to move if needed, thanks.

Yes, just as a short expaination:
apm - advanced power managment, is used for displaying battery status etc. - so short access all power functions of your PC.
Guess your PC has problems with apm and propably only supports acpi :)
