I have 10.3 and auto updater enabled. Since I've setup the system I've had one item in the updater that will not update and will not go away. (eclipse-archdep-platform) I have watched as a couple of eclipse updates have taken place and hoped this one would disappear from the list, but it has not. Any ideas on how to get it "released" from updater?

You may wish to manually update via YaST. That will give you more control over the process than what the openSUSE Updater applet is allowing.

ive completely got rid of the auto-updater and just manually check for updates every day. the auto-updater kept annoying me as it also seemed to need access to package management, even though i set it to check every few hours.

I've never had a problem with auto updater before. I'm trying some manual stuff and we'll see what happens. First time it didn't work, but looks like it's doing something this time.

Well, that may have accidentally worked. I see no updates available if I search for updates through YAST even though the update still shows in the auto updater. I'll have to wait for it to refresh itself to see if it's cured. Thanks for the help.

Wee Haw! Yep that worked. Autoupdater is all cleared out now. I just needed a simple look from another point of view. Thank you very much!

from command line run rpm --rebuilddb

that will fix it until it goes wrong again.......

I had this exact same problem and continue to get problems with auto online updater on a regular basis - quite simply its a pain!!
I seem to remember everything used to work fine in 10.1 and then community repositories were introduced - nothing but problems since then.....
