in my home directory, nightly, the file permissions change...all my executables are no longer executable for the user.. EXAMPLE: 1690 -rw-r-xr-x 1 madcow users 1728284 2008-03-05 10:59 boinc 212 -rw-r-xr-x 1 madcow users 216680 2008-03-05 10:59 boinc_cmd 6142 -rw-r-xr-x 1 madcow users 6282528 2008-03-05 10:59 boincmgr They used to be -rwxr-x-r-x This happens to ALL my executable files in my home directory..they all default back to -rw- Any suggestions? Is there a security cron changing these permissions? |

Not sure, its nothing I've ever seen, but there is permissions in etc which I believe will be used with SuSEconfig.
Though unsure about cron have you had a look to see if SuSEconfig is being run in any of the cron jobs under /etc |
