Hi all

Just curious, if I access hotmail or aim or gmail from work can my work IT log the content of the mails?

Just a privacy thing really

shouldn't be able to. isn't that an infringement of a privacy law if they do so? there is software out there which would allow them to see everything on your screen of course, but highly unlikely, since these email sites are all secure sites etc.

just my opinion. is this on windows or linux?

it's possible but highly unlikely. the more possible scenario is they could be logging what sites you visit, them being able to get the content of things like emails would be quite tricky for them unless they had a program installed on your machine whch could, for instance, take screenshots every x amount of seconds. but this would take up a fair bit of server space of whatever. are they really strict on internet useage then? maybe you are too paranoid? i dont know but i wouldn't worry too much.
