Hello,

After installing openSuSE 10.3 I got a problem that cause my system not to have a boot splash screen and after selecting the OS in Boot manager I was asked to choose the some options that select the resolution of terminal (But not resolution of desktop environment).

Now I can select any resolution in SaX2 without any problem but that didn't change the resolution of the terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F1 to F6).

Is there any means I can change the resolution of the terminal??

If there is any means please help me out.

Hi,

you have to change the resolution of the boot splash and the terminal in the grub configuration. search for vga=xxx in /boot/grub/menu.lst or use yast bootloader configuration and edit your openSuSE entry.

this link helps to find a suitable mode http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/2005...t=1&chap=10

(Maybe someone has a better link)

hope this helps
