Get Contacts From Gmail To Thunderbird

Hello!

I would like to use Thunderbird with my gmail account. Since there is an IMAP connection to gmail, it is very

convenient to work with applications like Thunderbird with gmail. But the only reason I don't use it is

that the contacts in Thunderbird are not synchronized with gmail. Is there a way to synchronize them

automatically? I mean every time I open the contacts in Thunderbird, it gets my contacts from gmail?
