Hello everybody,

I have a very strange problem. What is the situation. I just installed OpenSuse 10.3 on a server and everything works fine. So far so good.

I configured KRFB so that i can always take it over by remote control. This also works.
I want KRFB to autostart when i start up the server because I want to use the server without, screen, keyboard and mouse.

So I copied the item and put it in the folder autostart.

When I shut down the server and start it up again, the server tries to start KRFB 2 times and I'll get a conflict.
After that, i logout my user and login again, without starting up the server again, it works fine.

When i delete the item from the autostart-folder and restart the server, it won't try to start KRFB automaticaly.

Does anyone of you know the solution?

Avé,

I never used Krfb so I am a noob here. I started serching for a directory (or folder) autostart. Found several doing a find. You tell nothing about the 'item' you put there. Maybe real Krfb users may understand what you mean, but to me you are not very precise.

I have only one (probably stupid) suggestion. When you want this krfb running all the time, it will probably also run al system shutdown. Is there no session restore or something that starts it together with your autostart?

Hi Henk,

Thnx for your answer. When i shut the server down, it shuts down clean without errors. What i did is opening the properties of the program. Copy the command line==>open the autostart folder==>create new application. Paste the command line, give it a name and save it.

So what you have written was a possibility but but not the solution.

Did not hint at a shutdown with errors, but when you thought it over I agree this suggestion is not the right one.

One of the files I found is /opt/kde3/share/autostart. Maybe you could look there if your thing is there (maybe twice?).
