Issues Installing Kde 4

have you tried it yet? I had exactly same issue yesterday and decided to stick with KDE 3.5 and instal kde 4 along with suse 11.0 in June. But if it works ok if you just ignore the error, I`d try kde 4...

KDE4 ROCKS! Except for one thing, sometimes my windows get corrupted, well almost every window border gets corrupted including the firefox one i am using to type this VERY message, now I used suse for a bit before this and this happened rarely.... but this is almost every border getting corrupted, I have included images of this said corruption. Ive noticed in Firefox, it seems to double on page load. And KDE for some reason won't let me update. I have tried more than once but it gives me some error code that consists of a bunch of KDE stuff and that it cannot connect with the Daemon.[attachmentid=2420][attachmentid=2421]

You could be right here: Though I did run a forced install of this with the ignore option. I have just deleted the kde4 ksysguard and all is still fine.

There are still many issues I feel with kde4, though I would suspect yours is possibly down to settings. I have had start fresh a couple of times with kde4 with similar problems. To do so: go to your .kde4 directory in /home/*username*/.kde4
and rename .kde4old

restart kde4 and you will be starting fresh.
you can always roll back, but I never have, I just end up deleting the .kde4old folder.
