Safe?, no, I don't think so.
Mainly because beryl is not under development and compiz-fusion is what we have now.

yeah but beryl had some really nice effects like how when u moved windows around then water waves were produced and stuff

Beryl was merged with Compiz, time ago now. You can find the same effects and more in compiz-fusion. (Notice the fusion in the name, that's what means it was merge with Beryl )

yeah I know but this effect is in compiz fusion, remember when u moved the windows around water waves were produced? anyway if it isn't possible then its ok
