Hello guys!
I have a strange problem with compiz-fusion. It is working, cube is working OK, emerald is working OK. Using AIGLX (XGL is not working well here, for unknown reason). Problem lies with representation of desktop boxes on panel. Case 1 [attachmentid=2417] As you see, it represents 16 desktop boxes, while in reality there is 4. If I change Virtual desktop size to 1, then I do not have cube. If I change number of desktops to 1, boxes on panel returns to normal, but on next logon, I have only 1 desktop. Case 2 [attachmentid=2418] When I set in standard desktop settings, number of desktops to 1, then it looks like on image. Is there any chance to make it normal? what I need to set? Thanks |

Updating compiz is what I've found to solve that.
OTOH it seems a recurring problem. |

Compiz is updated.
I found recurring problem with standard multidesktop setup... When I set it to 1, display is OK. But it comes back to 4 (I am talking about KDE settings, not compiz). Something really strange is going on. |

Compiz overrides the number of desktops you set in KDE. When Compiz is running it sets the number of KDE desktops to 1. Think of Compiz desktops as multiple screens, from one KDE desktop.
If you want say 4 desktops in both KDE and Compiz, set the kcontrol Multiple Desktops value to 4, then in Compiz Settings Manager>General Options>Desktop Size set Horizontal Virtual Size to 4, Vertical Virtual Size to 1, Number of Desktops to 1. Hope this helps... |

Yes, I understand this. However, KDE desktop settings on 1, after login, I see just 1 desktop, even though cube is working. Only when I open compiz settings, it changes itself to 4..
I believe that only display of is screwed up.. I would like to fix it, but even if not, not too much problem |
