Hello to all.

I have a problem with some packages in smart upgrade process, and I do not know how to avoid except to state which packages to upgrade one by one which is very daunting.

when I do: smart upgrade
it downloads but on the middle it stops because of
Code:
Committing transaction...
warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID acfdf470
Trying to import the key a11c50d4acfdf470 from pgp.mit.edu...
gpg: requesting key ACFDF470 from hkp server pgp.mit.edu
gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.
gpg: Total number processed: 0
error: gpg failed to import keyid a11c50d4acfdf470, please make sure that gpg is installed, that the keyserver pgp.mit.edu is working and that the package /var/lib/smart/packages/sax2-tools-8.1-449.4.i586.rpm has a valid signature.
error: sax2-tools-8.1-449.4.i586.rpm: public key not available
how to avoid smart to abort because of one package?!
Is there some solution? avoid gpg or so?

P.S. gpg is installed

thanks

My recommendation is to never do a "smart upgrade". Never. I wish they would remove this functionality from smart.

Instead, update your apps one by one. Eventually you will find the offending sever, and at that point you can take some remedial action.

Hum... I got your point.
...and I think you are absolutely right.
