I was trying to install ktexmaker2. when i try ./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3 I get the following error:
The important program kdb2html was not found!

What should I do to correct this error?

Please help me, Thank you in advance.

Hello,Padmal

First sorry to hear you are having this problem
but would just like to add that it may help these
pros if you tell them what linux distro & Ver you
are using

also did you try & see if you can find the prog
as an rpm i find that i have great luck using them

well that said best of luck

I couldn't find any RPM, and I am using SUSE 9.2.

ktexmaker2 is pretty old - and is looking for components no longer in KDE - I think you'd be beteer off with kile

Thank you for the reply. I didn't know about Kile at all. I spent more than 24 hours to install ktexmaker2. After your reply I installed Kile (with little trouble). Now everything is fine except:

When I open Kile it gives me a error message: "Could not find mime type
application/octet-stream". When I click OK, it says "No mime types installed". When I click OK, it again says "Could not find mime type application/octet-stream". When I click OK, it again says "No mime types installed".

How can I get rid of this?

Your help is highly appreciated.

No Problem, when I restarted the computer it worked perfectly.
