Hello,

I recently upgraded from SuSE 8.2 to SuSE 9.0.
All went well except for the "Install with Yast"
feature in konqueror.

Previously when I clicked on an *.rpm, konqueror presented
whe with a "Install With Yast" button just under the toolbar.

I already reinstalled kdebase3-suse, also I removed the
~/.kde directory without success.

I also checked the file associations for x-rpm and under
embedding KRPMVIEW is set.

I would like the "Install with Yast" feature back please.

Thanking you in advance.

Hi dust,

I am not sure about this but konqueror is using a kind of "yast plugin" for it.
Is in your konqueror plugin settings something with rpm in it?
try to let konqueror rescan the plugin dirs.

Hello Storm,

thank you for your swift reply. I had a look at the loaded
plugings, and it seems there are only two loaded.

1: libflashplayer.so
2: rpnp.so

I rescanned all plugin directories without success.

Kind regards,
Dust

I found this on a german forum:

Quote:

The largest advantage is that KDE 3,2 is really noticeably faster than KDE 3.1.x. also the Fonts is more clearly than before. Otherwise... one has stop the newest

Disadvantages: No SuSE Watcher, no SuSE menu, no installing RPMs over the Konqueror/Yast linking (for me that is the largest disadvantage). Reason: It gives still no update for the kdebase3-suse. Perhaps comes still...
If a kde3.2 user can confirm this?

Dust are you using 3.1 or 3.2 now?

AFAIK there is no kdebase3-suse for KDE3.2, so no suse extensions at all...
