I'm running OpenSuse 10.2, and when I attempted to update my firefox extensions as a local user, it wouldn't let me, so I did it as root. Now the extensions all work if I run as root, or launch firefox from the command-line using su, but not if I just launch it as a local user. I think it has something to do with ownership or permissions, but don't know how to fix it. I'm having the same issue with Adobe flash, too!

Thanks,
Jim

Why don't you uninstall the extensions as root, and then install again as user?

I only installed the extensions as root because it wasn't letting me install as user,
