Mygood old printer Lexmark Z23 is not working on Suse 10.2 64bit.
Well, it is a win-printer and there is no 64bit driver.
The only driver I could find was a closed-source 32bit driver supplied by the manufacturer.

As you guess, it refuses to work under 64 bit Suse.
Well, i followed some methods that I found in some websites to install the driver under 64bit SUSE but it seems that it cannot use the USB line for communication with the printer. I mean, I can see the driver installed under yast but it doesn't print anything.

Is there anybody who had it worked or may help about it ?

Printer works under 32bit Suse and under MS OSes.
My USB ports works under 64bit Suse. Mouse, Flash disks, USB hardisks all work without problem.
There is no problem with the kernel and SUSE, all updated.
There is no hardware problem under SUSE 10.2 64bit.
ACPI system works.
In short laptop and SUSE 64bit like each other.

Computer is a laptop ASUS A6Km.
