HI.

I am having issues running every 32 bit java app in opensuse 10.3 64 bit.

Two examples of this are bolzplatz2006 and railword - games

I have the 64 bit version of Java installed - which i want to keep installed for use with 64bit java apps.

Is it possible to install the self extracting file from sun.com ?

I have noticed that Suse rpms use the

/usr/share/java-utils/java-functions
/etc/java/java.conf

files to let the system know where abouts the various directory's are.

Is there anyway I can edit these files to point to the i686 version ?

I can run every other type of 32bit app, just java ones so I believe I have all the correct 32 bit libraries.

I have tried adding the

JAVA_HOME="/usr/local/lib/jre1.6.0_03/" variable to startup scripts but that hasn't solved anything.

Has anyone been successful in running 32 java apps in a 64bit environment ?
