On board Radeon XPRESS 200 5954 (PCIE). Previous system Suse 10 X86 64bit.

My install of Suse 10.3 went ok until it came to the X Server. I was hit with a blank screen at the very end of the installation.
I tried to hack a setup. Even the old (from Suse 10 install) Xorg.conf file would not work. A very basic screen using the vesa driver eventually worked and I has a gui.
This page was very helpful in taking my to the next step.

Soon I was able to get the new ATI driver up using
sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx

My next configuration task is still outstanding. I cannot get the TV card configured. It worked okay on the previous Suse 10 install. The chipset is recognized and loaded ok (bttv/pixelview) but any attempt to use xawtv or kdetv results in a blank screen. The ATI driver may need tweeking, and ideas ?

Did you try to launch xawtv or kdetv from a terminal window? this way you can read any error message.
I use a Radeon 9600 card with ATI propietary drivers. On my system kdetv and xawtv don't work, but I installed MplayerTV that's a PERL script wrapper for mplayer and it works fine. For TV recording Kalva is what I need.
