Has anyone had a problem with the java uodates from yesterday?

After installing these I couldn't get any java based websites to work - so ended up going back to the previous versions.

I opened a bug report at Novell: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=334625

Thanks for that - I always worry that it is something that I've done!

Is it possible to update the symlinks manually?

Of course. But I'll just wait until Suse offers updated packages.

Out of curiosity did anyone else have java -> /usr/lib64/jvm/jre-1.6.0.u1-sun/bin/java ? Before or after reverting back.

Curious as it shouldn't be as far as I know it should be to the
java -> /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.6.0.u1-sun/bin/java thinking about fixing it.

Though as eberhard said I may wait for upstream and see if it fixes it.

That depends if you install the 64bit packages of java (hint: the 64bit-packages have x86_64 in their name )

Never I only got 32bit this end that was why my question

I certainly don't remember installing the 64bit and I know the 32bit is installed the link points to no where.

In fact I'm 90% sure I've not ever installed 64bit 1.6 as I reinstalled due to playing with java.

unless suse changed convention naming recently, x86_64 means for suse x86_64. package may be 32-bit or 64-bit

example:
DirectFB-0.9.24-16.x86_64.rpm
DirectFB-32bit-0.9.24-16.x86_64.rpm

32-bit for 64-bit suse will also have x86_64 but additionally will have "-32-bit" in file description

here 64-bit suse installation directory
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/...ce/suse/x86_64/

I doubt that anything changed, so x86_64 does not meant that package is 64-bit

Broch, you ..., I was talking about the java-packages and 10.3, and not DirectFB and 10.1. Why do you always need to give your comment?
