i've got a dual core opteron system installed , with a 3ware controller and 2 WD's of 120gig, 2 gig kingston ram (memtested ), supermicro motherboard (h8ssl or something ) and dito case. It serves as a fatclient for thinclients. Worked for a week or so, and then these errors popped up :

The system keeps running, but no thinclient gets served anymore.
Any hints ?

i found the problem. it has something to do with the ldap. Although ldap seems to be installed correctly ( and works ), it seems to crash programs like su, nscd, tftpd and samba.
a rebuild of the ldap directory solved the problem.
i don't know where to report such a thing, because i think other programs shouldn't crash on that.

the opensuse newsgroup also didn't seem interested....
