I am thinking of upgrading my suse 10 to 10.1 and moving it onto my 64bit box. I want to be able to use my floppy drive and my zip drives and would like to be able to view flash in firefox. Also the updater, is it ok in the 64 bit version? I dont mind having to edit fstab for the zip and if thats all thats needed I'm fine.
With my 32 bit suse 10 the floppy has a 'known problem' that I dont think has been fixed.

All I can tell you is that flash in Firefox works, you have to manually copy some files to the plugins dir but it's described in the readme which files that are, it's fairly easy. Sorry that I can't help with the other things.

what problem? Slow transfer? this can be easily fixed mnually by removing sync flag

FF and flash works under 64-bit suse providing that you install (default) 32-bit firefox.
If you will use Yast, then flash will work without copying/editing files.
