firefox -no-remote -P nameofprofile

I created desktop icons with the command like that.

Right click on the desktop, select create new link to application. In the application tab, make sure to put firefox -no-remote -P nameofprofile and don't forget the mime types. Under the mime type, under application select xhtml+xml and under text select html.

Now you can have more than one profile of Firefox up at a time.

Enjoy.
