OK, so you have added you're various repositories to YaST, or smart, or whatever you use. But how do you know what has been updated in the set of repos you have? How do you know what has been added, or updated? If you have a news feeder, it's really quite simple. Simply add the repo to your news feeder. For example, if you ave the repo of http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/.../openSUSE_10.2/ added to YaST or smart, simply add http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/..._10.2/repodata/ to your news feeder. The repodata is xml. Now, via your news feeder, you can stay informed as to the changes to the repos you have added to the package manager of your choice.

Enjoy
