Hi all
Since we have to move topics from here almost every day, I would just like to remind people that this section is not to ask questions, that is not to ask help for problems of any kind. It's only to post tips that you think might be useful to someone.

Since my guess is that many people are not aware about this, I thought a post that specifies it explicitely might be useful.

Howto is everything that conforms with the question "how to... ?" or is an exlanation about how to achieve a given result. Notice that questions can be posted here, and indeed several posts start with a question.

Tips, Tricks & Tweaks is a generic and looser collection of tips. That is you post something like a "lesson learned", not a question.

The reason why i posted that short explanation that is here pinned is that we kept getting questions of any kind in this section.

Tips, Tricks & Tweaks can become the rough drafts for a howto.

Howto write a successful Tips, Tricks & Tweaks posting:

1. First bribe Gonzo with a large Combination pizza.
2. Next, only post about a obscure C+ programming or bash related issue.
3. Questions can be posed, but must be theoretical in nature (ex. So you are having trouble with the use of grep? Heres my handy tip to help)
4. If the posting does not put everyone to sleep in 3 minutes, it was unsuccessful, and needs to be reworded.
5. Finally do not forget the pizza!
