I'm not sure if this is the right place -- but whatever options I add to GRUB I can't get the splash screen to work again -- It's a really minor problem but it would be nice to have the splash screen again.
I'm running at Level 3 as I prefer always to start X manually. ( SUSE 9.1 PRO) Thanks |

I had the same problem. I change Boot Loader to LILO in YaST and again changed back to GRUB. And bootsplash was back
![]() I don't know what makes splash screen missing, and understand this is not the right kind of problem solving. Somebody else can point proper answer. |

I think, that is the way I need, "silent" option suppress all kernel messages and shows a progress bar boot screen. "verbose" shows kernel messages but in a suse boot screen. "native" option removes all boot screens and shows kernel messages same as in UNIX systems.
Anyway what I'm getting is "native" boot screen, UNIX like boot messages. No SuSE logo and no SuSE boot screen. |
