Good article but I think recent changes have changed things if you see what I mean.
I have 9.3 installed and running (from a paid pack with, as stated, good documentation) on Athlon 64. None of the downloads are going to offer me any easy upgrade of this because the 64 bit libs are not on the standard download DVD due to extra space on printed ones being available due to dual layer and this space needed to include these libs. Ergo the only way I can put an upgrade to Yast is to buy a new DVD, and I think I need 10 to get support for SATA. GG |

As regards the 9.3 this was a paid-for boxed set complete with manual, so support will be around for a while yet. When I fancy upgrading I note with delight that SuSE 10.0 from my usual supplier is even cheaper than the 9.3 was |
