I have 10.3 suse

my sound was working fine, I think it stoped working after I installed flash player.
Is there a way to reset the device or something?
I ran some tests and it still wont work

Its unlikely installing flash player will stop all your sound from working. More likely you have made a mistake somewhere. Copy and paste the following into a konsole/xterm to test your sound:
<span style="font-family:Courier New">speaker-test -c2 -Ddefault -twav</span>
... press <CTR><C> to stop it. Note the characters in that command are case sensitive. Don't forget to check your mixer setting while its playing to ensure your mixer is not blocking your sound.

If that doesn't work, then as a simple fix you can restart alsa. If you don't know how to do that, the easiest way is to reboot.

If sound still doesn't work after a reboot, you could start from scratch and work your way through this audio troubleshooting guide:
