There is a known problem with not being able to use the alt-f2 key combination to start the run command dialog in SuSE if you are running Beryl. I ran across this work-around at the Beryl forums that works. Enjoy
![]() Go into Beryl settings manager Disable 'Run dialog' from General options -> Bindings. Then add a custom command in General options -> Commands, the command is Code:
dcop kdesktop KDesktopIface popupExecuteCommand You can do the same with KMenu, (which is supposed to open with the alt-F1 key combo, but often does not while running Beryl) Disable 'Show Main Window' from General options -> Bindings. Then add a custom command in General options -> Commands, the command is Code:
dcop kicker kicker showKMenu Note - for those of you unfamiliar with the 'super key', it is the windows/Start key, at least it is on my keyboard. |
