One liner...
Just make sure you're mouse is set to the correct model in sax2

As user at the command line use:

synclient MaxTapTime=0

And wala!

In-case you want to set it back, the default vaule is 180

How do I make this permanent? Typing it every time is getting tedious but it is a lot less tedious than the d*** tapping

Edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Add this option to your InputDevice, Synaptics section:

Option "MaxTapTime" "0"
