Here's a nice tip from the OpenSUSE mailing list.
"I just noticed an hour ago, if you open an FTP link in Konqueror, and right click, under the actions menu you can choose add as YAST repository. " http://www.cehartung.com/DL/add-yast-source.jpg |

Harryc,
I just tried it with: ftp://packman.inode.at/suse/10.0/x86_64 Worked like a champ! It evidently will not work with http though: Tried the http://packman.inode.at/suse/10.0/x86_64 & did not get the option. Thanks again partner! |

Well, I spoke too soon. While suse told me that it had added packman as a yast source, when I checked, it had not.
and, Quote Have you tried just ftp://packman.inode.at/suse/10.0/ ? Unquote I just tried that & again suse told me that it had added it as an Yast source, but, nada. I am beginning to think that this feature is not fully functional just yet -- because ftp://packman.inode.at/suse/10.0/ can be added as a yast source. |
