There's a tutorial for Linux neophytes at http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/nnlsma...nls.html#prereq If you're a newbie (like me) it maybe helpful.

33 hertz,
for the life of me, I can't find the "Novell Linux for Newbies" mailing list at the Novell site or on google. Would you please post a link?

Thanks,
Snakedriver

Nearly didn't find it again. That's one big site.
Sorry,it was late last night when I subscribed. It's a newsletter rather than a mailing list.
Anyway,hope it's useful.

33 hertz,

Thanks, yep it's a huge site with a lot of free info. Lot's of training available, but most is beyond what I care to do just now.

FYI, I found this page to be of great interest:
http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/nnlsma...ject_index.html

page down & there's a nooby section!

I might as well add:
http://www.linux.org/lessons/
for real beginners to intermediate users.

They helped me a lot in the beginning,
