i also have found out that our old friend packman has a yast sorce for suse 9.2
so you can add packman as a installation source in yast to install packages for 9.2 to do this you have to: 1. Open Control Center 2. Open YaST Modules 3. Open Software 4. Open "Change Installation Source" 5. Add "HTTP" 6. As Server: "packman.iu-bremen.de" 7. As Directory: "suse/9.2" Done, next time you go to "install and remowe software" you will find his rpm's along with suse's orginal rpm's you can check out his page here http://packman.links2linux.org/ edit: fixed a spelling mistake in the adress. sorry about that |

this could help me to upgrade my 9.1 to 9.2 using YOU and Packman's source?
Thanks! Alex |

You'd want to use official suse mirrors in YaST as update sources for an upgrade like that.

is it possible to upgrade from 9.1 to 9.2 using an Yast source?
if it is, can anyone give me the adress? thanks! |

It is not possible (unless you purchase SuSE 9.2)until SuSE releases (ftp) the packages necessary to do it.

What do I need to change (if anything) for the 64bit stuff rather than the 32bit?
Thanks Also, whats the difference between packmans and suse's rpms? (I don't have suse's install source either but was just wondering) |

Several posts have been made on this forum that reference 1 month or so after initial release. So mid December would be a good bet.
