Will openSUSE 10.3 use GNOME 2.20. It was just released and Im wondering if the devs have had time to implement it with the new suse or not.
I think I posted this one in the right section. If not appologies and please move to the right place. Thanks. |

This stuff lost its formatting in the copy and paste.
Changes between openSUSE 10.3 Beta 2 and Beta 3 * Linux kernel 2.6.22.5 * libzypp 3.22.1 * improved package lists of 1-CD GNOME and KDE, countless bug fixes in every component * reworked concept of language bundles (bundle-lang-* and -lang packages) Important updates and package additions compared to 10.2: Package Version Backport Description Beagle 0.2.18 download desktop search daemon Firefox 2.0.0.6 download web browser GNOME 2.20 Beta 2 download desktop environment KDE 4.0 Beta 2 download desktop environment OpenOffice.org 2.3 RC 1 download office suite, using OASIS file format, with KDE/GNOME integration SeaMonkey 1.1.4 download all-in-one internet application suite Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 download email client VirtualBox 20070822 x86 virtualizer Wine 0.9.44 download compatibility layer for running MS Windows programs 10.3 beta 3 was using Gnome 2.20 beta 2, so I would say yes. If it is not installed by default, it should not be hard to upgrade it. |
