Vlc Settings

While playing vcd/dvd by smplayer I can change settings for brightness, contrast, volume etc by pressing different keys 0-9.
How shall I do these operations for vlc?
Is there any manual listing these operations for vlc?

Under one of the menus, I think it's Window, you can show various controls like Equalizer, Video Filters, Image Adjustments, etc. For the keyboard try CTRL+G.
