How Frustrating

I am very new to suse and linux in all. I am trying this out for research at school and i have a dual boot setup on my laptop. I have no idea why i get no sound at all and when i click the sound icon i get no gstreamer addon and/or devices not found but i do have my sound card installed
also i cannot get my wireless to work but the card is there and so is all my info.

any help would be gratefully appreciated

A bit more information will be required before anyone can help you Dave.
What version of suse have you installed
Have you updated since your install
What machine is it installed on.

Suse is very configurable and you should be able to get everything working with a bit of work...........

I'm also pretty new to Suse... I'm trying to find out how to add all the repos and restricted formats to my SLED10SP1 install...

Its a Lenovo T61 with sled preloaded

2.5ghz
4gib ram
160gb hd
x3100 gfx

also I'm trying to get the desktop effects working... so far enabling them has prevented the x server from starting
