I'm using SuSE 10.3. When I insert a music CD, Banshee starts up and plays it, but Banshee returns the error message, above, if I click Import CD button. What I do is this: When I put in a CD Banshee will load and insist on playing the music. That's why you can't rip it: it already has it open. Close Banshee (right-click Quit), and then launch it from the Main Menu. You can then select the CD and rip it. Inconvenient, but this is my work-around. There's probably a better solution, but I never asked. |
