Hi :

I have installed open suse 10.3 and also installed mplayer and vlc media players. Now when I play a movie or a video file , I get onlya blue screen (i.e wthout any video). but able to hear the audio..I have an ATI ES 1000 515E graphics card (without 3d support.)
Why is this happening..What should I do to see the videos normally.

Thanks
roy

Try to change the video-driver in the respective players. For MPlayer it'd be 'Preferences' » 'Video', as far as I have experiences either 'xv' or 'x11' work best. I'm not sure where to find that in VLC since I do not use it, but I'm sure there is a way to configure that as well.
