Thumbs up

Hi guys, could anyone help me to solve this annoying issue I'm having with Kaffeine please ?

Everytime I try to play .mkv files it just crashes throwing the following error:

Today I updated the multimedia codecs, so now I've installed all the required codecs as specified here.

Code:
Dixie7:~ # rpm -q flash-player java libdvdcss libxine k3b-codecs w32codec-all
flash-player-9.0.115.0-0.1
package java is not installed
libdvdcss-1.2.9-5.2
package libxine is not installed
k3b-codecs-1.0.4-2.1.pm.0
w32codec-all-20071007-0.pm.1
The version of kaffeine installed here:
Code:
Dixie7:~ # rpm -q kaffeine
kaffeine-0.8.6-0.pm.1
What else could be causing this crash ?

By coincidence I tried playing a .mkv last night.
I didn't get a crash, it just never started up.
So used mplayer, worked fine.

It may just be a temp. bug.

I installed mplayer after watching you post. You are totally right!

.kmv files plays w/out problems using mplayer. Pretty rare issue... anyway, thanks for the tip!
