I just realized that none of my audio and cd players (on suse, I mean) will play audio cds. I can't seem to figure out what I am missing here. Kaffeine crashes when I try to play a cd. KsCD "plays" it without any sound, and the various cd rippers I have tried won't extract anymore.

I am sure I am missing some library (though I would think it should be a dependency!). Any hints?

sorry about my bad grammar there...

Switching audio engines in amarok to xine seems to work there. Not sure about the rest.

Hmmm... maybe you should look a tiny bit closer, since there is an article called "Adding Sources And Restricted Formats" right in this subforum:http://www.suseforums.net/index.php?showtopic=30900

I'm sure this will help you - if not, please post the exact error-message and the format you'd like to play.

Good luck!
