Hi all,

I need to build mplayer from source to include this patch: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=129050

I can manage it successfully but I don't have a list of all the package dependencies required to build a version of mplayer that's fully functional - or at least as fully functional as the package provided from the Packman repo.

Has anyone done this? Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Wolf

Extract the spec file from SRPM (the source file RPM), which can be done by just installing the SRPM directly since that will put it in /usr/src/packages/SPECS or use something like Midnight Commander and do it directly. In any case, once you've done that look at the spec file for the list of deps. That would be a good place to start. You could also check out the Gentoo Portage or Arch Package webpages which will list all the deps they use.
