Unhappy

Hello,

now, my webcam is working (can see video in Kopete setup page), but I found myself, that I have no use for it in Linux.

Videochat
Since Skype for Linux doesn't support video devices and ICQ (protocol, running over i.e. Kopete) doesn't support it either, I don't actually know, how to use it if I want to chat to somebody else with video on. Any hints?

Grabbing video
I was trying to grab some videos with MEncoder, but I didn't succeed yet. Anyway, I think that there should be some handy KDE programs which you just start and press "RECORD" and "STOP" and it saves your video. However I didn't find any. Could you advice anything?

Regards,

wxcam is a simple program that works for me for grabbing video.
http://wxcam.sourceforge.net/

wxcam is packaged for openSUSE by the Packman packagers:
