Open Suse 10.3, updated, latest Wine * installed via Yast*, Wine Doors, installed DirectX through Wine Doors, and when I start the installation of Diablo2 (legal game version) it goes smoothly all the way to the last moment and then the system restarts, that is, it logs me out and asks me to log in with my username and pass. Odd is that when I turn on my comp, I don't have to type my username and pass. It appears as if the game crashes at the end of the installation, however, when I retry with the game CD, it offers me to play, but I test the video mode first and the test finds no video mode available! (suggesting me to install the graphics card drivers first) I suppose that it might be the laptop and 16:10 screen screwing me (Acer Extensa5220) Otherwise, have no problem with the screen... The only alternative I see (if this doesn't work at all) to take a 10G section and install XP to run the game and Corel (which definitely has issues with running correctly!) Is there something I'm missing (obvious problem between the monitor and the game requirements/settings) or should I simply forget running these two apps under Linux? Is it likely that I rather have a hardware compatibility issue here rather than software problem? (otherwise, Open Suse works fine)
