This problem is driving me mad

I'm trying to run Diablo II under SUSE 10.3. I've got the original CDs and I have installed the latest patch and the glide wrapper.

First, if I run the setup video test application D2VidTst.exe, I get the message "no useful pixel format found" (I think this is a message from the glide wrapper); after that, a new window opens with the available Video Modes. I have here just one option, that is 3dfx Glide. Should I have Direct X here as well?

Second: if I run Diablo II.exe, I get again the "no useful pixel format found"

I have a Nvidia 7300 video card. I have installed the driver (I'm running compiz with no problem), but if I type nvidia-settings on a command window, I get a "You don't appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Run nvidia-xconfig as root". Of course, I've already done it, but I still have the same problems.

Please, help me!!!!
