I have a couple of under 5 year olds that reguarly use my computer. This is a brand new opensuse 10.3 installation. I was running PCLinuxOS on the old computer.
I've previously had tuxpaint, Mr Potato and childsplay installed. I've found tuxpaint and Mr Potato, but I can only find Mandriva rpms of childsplay. I also used to have some kids arcade style games, but I can't find any equivalent for them either. Any other suggestions of games for this age group would be helpful as 4 year olds get bored fairly quickly and I like to have some choice. Most of the default games are a bit too complex for 4-5 year olds. They have their own user login with some restrictions to keep me sane - no printer for example. I don't mind internet based games if they are suitable for the age group but I'd prefer to keep the games on this computer. |

You might want to check this out. They just re-designed the site and it has issues.

my two year old LOVES supertux (add it with Yast)
my seven year old likes to play shockwave games such as Zuma, Dynomyte and Rocket Mania - they all work perfectly with Wine - although she also loves supertux
