I don't know much about linux, as I just started using it last week. But I am a gamer, i love Call of Duty 2, and I was wondering if running Call of Duty in VMWare on linux would slow the game down at all, I posted specifications below.

CPU: AMD 64 X2 4400+ OCed 2.5ghz
GPU: Nvidia GEForce 7950GT KO Superclocked
MOBO: ASUS A8N58 SLI Ready

For the most part virtual machines don't run games very well, especially games requiring 3D acceleration. Board games are usually okay, but the virtual graphics system just isn't up to real gaming. Most everyone who's serious about Windows gaming and uses Linux just dual boots.
