I felt like running like the wind today, so here's my second RPM package. ZSNES 1.40!

You need:
nasm >= 0.98.38
SDL >= 1.2.0
SDL-devel >= 1.2.0
zlib
zlib-devel
libpng
libpng-devel

All of those can be retrieved via apt-get or off your CDs.

*EDIT*
Links removed due to new release
*/EDIT*

This edition of ZSNES is fully relocatable, meaning should you want to place it in a folder other than /usr/local, you have full right to. Just do an install with this command:

rpm -Uvh --prefix /path/to/where/you/want/zsnes/ zsnes-1.40-amd.1.i586.rpm

If you do change the location, however, ZSNES will not auto execute if you type "znes" at the command prompt. That can be fixed by creating a symlink in /usr/local/bin.

As before, if there are any problems, please let me know. Happy emulating!

Heh. Found a bug. The binary RPM was requesting a version of NASM that wasn't available. That's fixed now. Here are the new download links:

Binary:

Sounds cool.. you should consider contributing to one of the unofficial SUSE RPM repositories.. like Packman and ulb, if you could do that.

I probably could... although I want to make sure that the simpler packages work before I start throwin' contributing more of 'em to the masses, or at least enough to justify a repository of my own.

What do you mean, for ix86? An RPM for i586 would work fine on any other ix86 architecture.
